OT: (Humor)Sound guy at the rifle range

An audio technician drafted by the army was at a firing range. At the range,
he was given some instruction, a rifle and 50 rounds. He fired several shots
at the target.

The report came from the target area that all attempts had completely missed
the target. The sound guy looked at his weapon, and then at the target. He
looked at the weapon again, and then at the target again.

He then put his finger over the end of the rifle barrel and squeezed the
trigger with his other hand. The end of his finger was blown off, whereupon
he yelled toward the target area: "It's leaving here just fine, the trouble
must be at your end!"

I just realized that joke would have been a lot funnier in the 70's....

and that people from the 70's are heading towards the 70's again...

Nice one OG--this one literally made me laugh out loud! I've been on both sides of this issue--I've run live sound for bands before on occasion, but more often I've been onstage at the mercy of a club's sound man--someone who's not familiar with my band's music. If there's a problem, I've heard more than once "it must be on your end--everything's working fine here" from the sound man. Kind of the equivalent of when the computer programmer/software guy at work tells you either "operator error" when you know you've done nothing differently than you did the million other times when it usually works fine, or he says "must be a hardware problem--my software's running just fine!"
